My
mother introduced me to counted cross stitch when I
showed an interest in my early teenage years. It was
her hobby at the time, and I loved watching the little
stitches slowly form into a picture on the aida cloth.
When I asked her to teach me she took me to the craft
store and let me pick out a kit, something small and
easy. The kit that I picked out was that of a calico
cat, which wasn't surprising. Looking back, and I can
because that first project is still hung proudly in
my mother's front hallway, I realize that I've come
a long way from that small kit. Now all my stitches
cross in the same direction, and I've graduated from
Aida to a preference for Evenweave. Needlework has become
a passion, and I hope you enjoy looking at my small
collection of completed and in-progress projects. |
