Jolablot - Gersey
Come celebrate the Yuletide with us in the wilds of Sussex County, NJ!

We shall celebrate a traditional Jólablót, with both Blót (sacrifice) Veitsla (feast), and Sumbel (toasting). We start with the blót itself, offering hlaut to Thor and Freyr on our hörg. This will be followed by an informal discussion about the lore and other topics. We end with a feast and sumbel; much good food and drink will be had! Bragi-toasts will be made and oaths sworn for the upcoming year.

The gathering will be held in Byram NJ-- 2 minutes from Route 80 and approximately 1 hour west of the George Washington Bridge. Please call 973-426-1035 or email ulfgrim@gersey.org for directions if you're interested in attending. Everyone is welcome, especially newcomers!

Sacrifice to the Seven Sisters

Skaping - Gersey
On the first Sunday of every month, the members and friends of Gers Ey Goðorð get together for a Skapþing (pronounced "Skap-thing"). Skapþing is a very informal gathering, at which we discuss upcoming events, schedules, and general events of the day. Newcomers are welcome to attend Skapþing; it's a purely social gathering, with no religious rituals.

Skapþing is held in the Fuddrucker's restaurant on the eastbound side of route 46 (just west of I-287) in Parsippany, NJ at noon. From the north or south, take I-287 to route 46 west. You'll see the Fuddrucker's approximately a half-mile on your left. Make the U-turn at the next light.

If you have any questions, or if you're a first-timer planning on attending, please let us know so we can keep an eye out for you. (Look for the horned helmet on the table!) Just email info@gersey.org.

Full Moon Circles - Hands of Change
All Circles start at 7:30 SHARP Our Full Moon circles are teaching circles, and open to all respectful seekers. Most of our circles follow a similar structure: purification, welcoming the elements, welcoming the divine, raising and focussing energy, blessing and sharing "cakes" and (non-alcoholic) "wine," and dismissing/thanking the divine and the elements. Because of our eclectic diversity the body of each circle is different. Circles may include fire, water, earth, or air magick, talking sticks or bowls, guided meditations, blessings, dancing, chanting, healing, etc. Full Moon circles are held at the Unitarian Society of New Brunswick, located at 176 Tices Lane, between Rt 18 & Ryders Lane, New Brunswick, NJ
